Course Description

Assuming that you are here for an unforgettable experience during your exchange semester/year, we recommend you start exploring Taiwan due to its location and unique geological structure, which offers a variety of breath-taking scenery. To guide you through the geographical features of this beautiful island, the Dept. of Geoscience is now offering an elective course-Introduction to Field Geology (II), which gives a general geological introduction to Hengchun Peninsula, Southern Taiwan. This course will be taught in English and it is specially designed for international students. Therefore, international students (including degree students, exchange students, and visiting students) are highly encouraged to take this course to explore Taiwan together with geologists!

INTRODUCTION TO FIELD GEOLOGY (II)

*** Attention: If you don't register for the class, you will be dropped.
EVEN THOUGH YOU HAVE ALREADY CHOSEN ON THE WEBSITE, YOU STILL HAVE TO COME AND PAY.

Registration will take place on 2/22 (February 22th, FRI.) from 12:00 to 13:10 at the R212 of Dept. of Geosciences (地質系212室). Registration to the field of the tour will be charged a 5000NTD deposit (non-refundable).

Indoor lesson

Content:
(1) Introduction of background geology of Hengchun and field survey.
(2) Grouping of field work, roll call and ……

Practical training
Time: 2019/4/13, Saturday 13:30~15:30
Location: Dept. of Geosciences

Field excursion
Time: 2019/4/26, Friday to 2019/4/29, Monday
Location: Hengchun Peninsula, Pingtung
Notice: If you don't register for the class, you will be dropped.

Final examination
