課程概述 |
This is one of the requirements for math graduate students. This course is supposed to build up strong foundation of modern analysis for students who is going to do analysis-related research. Students from other displines are also welcome if you feel needed. |

課程目標 |
This semester, we start with the review of differentiation theorem for BV functions. Properties of convex functions, L^p spaces, Sobolev type inequalities, Fourier series will be explored. Different kinds of measures and some basics of functional analysis will also be introduced. If time is allowed, we will also explore some basic theory of calculus of variation and applications to PDEs. |
