課程概述

This course discusses the more advanced aspects of some of the topics covered in intermediate Mechanics one learns in a regular undergraduate physics curriculum. 

課程目標
Starting from Lagrange equations, discuss central force problems, rotation of rigid bodies, small oscillations. Develop canonical transformations via Hamiltonian equations and obtain the Action-angle variables from that Connect quantum mechanics from classical mechanics. Learn some techniques from special relativity in dealing with two-body scattering. Finally a brief introduction to classical field theory.

Basic skills on differential equations, matrices, solving eigenvalues
