課程概述 |
Condensed matter physics studies systems with a large number of degrees of freedoms. In this course, we will cover the theoretical framework for understanding the physics in the condensed matter systems. |
課程目標 |
We plan to cover the following subjects:
Crystal structure
One-electron approximation and band theory
Second quantization and electron gas
Optical and transport properties in metals
Optical properties in insulators and semiconductors
Lattice vibrations and phonons
Magnetism

Knowledge of Quantum Mechanics, Statistical Mechanics, and elementary Solid State Physics. |
