課程概述

No New Physics has emerged at LHC, but we have several intriguing "flavor anomalies", and we anticipate major updates with LHC Run 2 data (5x that of Run 1 at higher energy).
The Belle II experiment would enter B physics data taking in 2019. Thus, the next few years we expect major progress in flavor physics and CP violation (FPCP) in our quest for physics Beyond the Standard Model. There are also other ongoing experimental pursuits. This Special Topics course would therefore survey the current landscape of FPCP.

The monograph "Flavor Physics and the TeV Scale", first published in 2009 by Springer-Verlag, has been updated to 2nd edition and brought up to date, and is now in print for 2019 by Springer. The updated version would be handed out at class and used as "text".

Gain perspective on modern, contemporary flavor physics and CP violation research. 
課程要求
Reading monograph chapters (and sometimes assigned specific papers) beforehand, and participate in discussion during class.
