課程概述 |
This course will cover a broad spectrum of optics on the nanometer scale, ranging from nanotechnology applications to fundamental nanoscience. The course will start from theoretical foundations of nano-optics: light-matter interaction at nano-scale. We will discuss optical emission of small particle (atom, molecule, quantum dot, nanoparticle) in which experiments and theory of dipole emission in a nanoscale environment will be presented. We then proceed to the discussion of various methods including near-field and far-field approaches that can be used to enhance the spatial resolution of optical microscopy. We will also cover the topic of surface plasmons, and its close relationship to the confinement of optical field at nano-scale. |
