Thesis Writing (Autumn 2005)
Course descriptions: This class is designed to help you, hopefully, to be familiar with different styles of thesis writing. The instructor will also work with you on the examination of the thesis you’re currently doing, if any. Of course, terminologies and vocabularies in different fields are more often than not diametrically varied. The mastery of styles and structures of thesis writing is absolutely crucial, though. This class is divided into two parts: first, we will read and discuss certain texts to learn about the styles and writing skills; and the second, the instructor will help you scrutinize your own thesis, respectively.
Selected chapters from Mark Poster’s The Mode of Information and other texts TBA.
