課程概述 |
Materials analysis is a special topic course designed for senior college students. Characteristic properties of materials are very important in materials science and nanotechnology. Studying of materials requires a very board fundamental knowledge in physics and chemistry. According to various applications and properties, this course will cover morphological characterization, atomic spectroscopy, molecular spectroscopy, which strongly overlap in the fields of physics, crystallography, and material science. |
課程目標 |
1. To describe the fundamental concepts of characterization methods.
2. To introduce the tools of spectroscopy for quantitative analysis.
3. To impress upon the students the wide importance and the applicability of analytical methods and its relation to materials science.
4. To equip the students with the ability to utilize the analytical methods to solve the materials science problems.

General chemistry is essential. Undergraduate inorganic, analytical, and physical chemistry are recommended. |
