課程概述

此課程著重於整合發展心理病理學的理論、病因、研究、治療及預防。除了學習嬰幼兒、兒童與青少年常會經歷特定種類的異常行為,此課程也將概觀有關這些問題的衡鑑、治療及可能的預防方式。學生將會有機會以書面報告及課堂討論來表述他們的學習情況。此課程鼓勵學生能藉由評論兒童心理病理的原創研究、應用兒童心理病學的知識到一些兒童期與青少年期行為適應不良的特定個案研究,以發展額外的分析思考能力。 

課程目標
1. Utilize a biopsychosocial perspective to explore children’s normal and abnormal developmental processes.

2. Examine how children’s psychological disorders are currently conceptualized, assessed, and treated in clinical settings.

3. Maintain a perspective of healthy criticism in the interpretation and utilization of existing conceptualizations, assessment procedures, research results, and methods of clinical intervention.
