Course Description:
(83de) This course is a mixture of training in research design, laboratory technique, observational method, and academic writing. Ph.D. students in the developmental area should begin to take this series of courses some time during the first two years of their stay in this department. The main goal of this course is threefold. The first one is to help the students finish up or publish their previous research project implemented before they enter this program. The second one is to help them narrow down their research interest to one or more doable and publishable studies. The third and the most important goal, of course, is to help them get their candidacy research in action.
