Why do you (or others) do the science that you do? What are the contributions to the field? Why should your funding be supported? Why would anyone want to know about the field that you study? Being able to concisely and succinctly respond to these questions will help you to become a more effective science speaker. In this short (1cr) course, we will practice and develop effective skills to communicate your science through speaking in English. It is not required to have a specific research topic or a future scientific conference planned to join this course; however, if you have a specific need to use English in communicating a scientific topic, we will work together to develop your presentation.
