Assigned reading presentation author introductions background or motivation goal of the research and contribution Research Question paper structure conclusion criticism, questions and comments

Task 1: Identify what is the research question of the article? How does the puzzle come about? How and what does the author answer the question by what data/material and method/perspective? Task 2: Do you like the article? What’s your opinions about the article? Does it convincing to you, how (not) and why (not)?

ARP- individual in-class feedbacks and Classroom participation 
15% 
Task 1: What is the assigned reading about? Please summarize its research puzzle, research material/method/perspective and findings. Task 2: Does the presentation effectively summarize the reading? Why or why not? Give them some feedbacks.

Summing up assigned reading paper and discussion 
10% 
Comparative discussion, What did you learn from the books? Please write comments and criticism by comparing three books. Please submit a paper on 11/4 in class, and upload on CEIBA the same day.

Research issue presentation background or motivation goal of the research and contribution Research Question paper structure conclusion criticism, questions and comments

Task 1: Identify the research question of your research topic and elaborate its significance to the class, such as how does the puzzle come about? How and what do you answer the question by what data/material and method/perspective? Task 2: Flesh out your analysis and findings. Task 3: Share research experiences, such as what’s the difficulty in collecting, interpreting and analyzing among all sorts of material.

RIR-individual in-class feedbacks and Classroom participation 
15% 
Task 1: Identify what is the research question of the group presentation? How does the puzzle come about? What is the significance of the topic? Task 2: Identify how and what does the group try to answer the puzzle by what data/material and method/perspective? Task 3: Do you like the presentation? What’s your opinions about the article? Does it convincing to you, how (not) and why (not)?  
6. 
Self-evaluation and feedback for the class assignment 
10% 
Summing up discussion. What did you learn from the class? Please write comments, criticism and advice for making the class better. Please submit a paper on 12/16 in class, and upload on CEIBA before or the same day. *Late submission will lose points.
