In the second part of a two-course sequence in Microeconomics, we will study how consumers and firms make decisions in markets that are not perfectly competitive. We will cover the topics including monopoly, oligopoly, and game theory. We will also discuss the factor markets, general equilibrium models, and welfare economics. Finally, we will discuss the situations where market failure can take place, including externality, public goods, uncertainty and asymmetric information.
