The second part of the course covers various aspects of macroeconomic analysis: a critical evaluation and systematic application of the basic analytical concepts of Macroeconomics theory, so as to understand how the macro economy operates. Topics include the measurements of economic performance (eg. GDP, CPI…); determinants of economic production and growth, saving and investment, and unemployment; the definition of money and inflation; policy implications (fiscal v.s. monetary policies) and the analysis of the open economy.
