Course Description |
This course will teach the theoretical foundation of heterogeneous agent models in modern macroeconomics. We will rely on recursive methods taught in Macroeconomics Theory (I). Heterogenous agent modeling analyzes distributional issues in macroeconomics, and it is one of the mainstream research in modern macroeconomics. Since HA models are often impossible to solve by hand, I will also cover some computation methods. |
Course Objective |
Understand the theoretical foundation of heterogeneous agent models and the basics of the computation. |
Course Requirement |
Understand the theoretical foundation of heterogeneous agent models and the basics of the computation. Since there will be two holidays during the course materials, we will only have 6 lectures. There will be four assignments, no exam. |
