課程概述:
本課程是一個性別觀點的暴力探討課程，WHO(世界衛生組織) 所用的名詞“ gender-based violence ( GBV )，主要探討領域包含家庭中的暴力，性侵害、性騷擾以及約會暴力等相關領域。在這些暴力中，探討的面向則包括暴力的政策和政策性別意涵，反性別暴力的政策價值和基本假設和政策理論(例如家暴和性侵以及性騷擾的相關理論)，另外我們也會從社會工作整體介入性別暴力的直接介入方案作分析，並且探討台灣在政策執行過程中的服務機制和服務系統(從中央到地方師服務體系)。

The course “ gender-based violence ( GBV )”will discuss three major issues relevant to violence against women: domestic violence, sexual assault, and others such as dating violence and sexual harassment. It is directed to explore each issue mentioned above by taking the framework as follows:
1. Policy and law-making
2. Values, assumptions and theories
3. Intervention programs
4. Service delivery system

4. 了解和建立性別暴力介入方案的能力
5. 認識性別暴力產生的危險因子和社會文化情境
6. 了解受暴者的受暴創傷(症候群)
7. 認識性別暴力受害者工作暨處理模式
8. 了解加害者處遇模式
9. 評估性別暴力服務系統的效率性和效果姓
10. 瞭解性別暴力政策、措施或是服務機制發展的未來性
11. 瞭解性別暴力相關之工作與研究倫理
The course is designed to assist students in achieving the following learning objectives:
1. to understand the concept of gender-based violence
2. to understand the prevalence of GBV locally or internationally
3. to understand the theories relevant to violence against women
4. to develop ability in intervention and program evaluation
5. to understand the risk factors of GBV and its context
6. to identify the victim's sufferings and PTSD after their encountering of violence
7. to explore models of working with survivors or victims
8. to explore the perpetrator treatment
9. to evaluate the service delivery structure for helping both victims
10. to understand the future change of policy, programs, and services of GBV
11. to understand the ethics and privacy rules of research while taking GBA
cases as samples.

課程要求

1.Short Essays 40% :
Two essays with 3000 words are required to show your learning in certain area such as domestic violence , sexual assault , sexual harassment , dating violence, or human trafficking after reading the assignments. Every student will have two presentations in the class in order to gain these scores.
(1)兩篇短報告(40%)，每一篇需要同學進行依三種程序來完成，第一，閱讀靜態資料，文章一篇或是書一本（依同學興趣）完成摘要報告和心得分析，並且包括對該議題的文化與社會環境下的檢視。書本或文章的選讀為課程進度中指定資料的一部份。第二是在課堂上做報告，報告時間約25分鐘，並請將報告的ppt事先準備成書面資料給所有同學(放在CEIBA討論區)。第三，找相關影片，放映時間以不超過90分鐘為原則。
(2)兩篇報告的評分：議題選定10%，presentation 內容的完整程度和presentation 技巧30%，最後報告的撰寫內容60%。
(3)所有資料要依時間完成並且繳交到Ceiba作業區，分為Essay1以及Essay2 分開繳交。

2.Participation and discussion 20% :
Attentive participation and discussion in the classes are required. Every student needs to prepare course for participation, raising questions, giving comments and feedback.
(1) 課程出席是必要，出席成績佔總分10%，若因為特殊原因無法出席，必須事先請假（Email: wanglr@ntu.edu.tw），俾利課程的進行。無故缺席一次扣總分１分。
(2)參與討論也是必要，佔總分10%，無論哪個議題或是哪個課程面向，可能是學生生活週遭觀察或是生命經驗，也可能是國家社會的相關政策或措施的疑問或是批判，甚至是對該議題相關學理的分析，希望同學多提出討論。每次課一定要多提問題或是回應，每至少發言兩三次。

3.Final report (Independent study) 40% :
Students will be asked to select a women’s issue as the topic for final paper, which is based on gender- based violence concern. The paper is expected to provide the thoughts, discussions, reflections to the current interventions, programs and policy . Students are requested to visit service delivery agencies and discuss issues with professionals in practice in order to catch the better information.
(1) 提出撰寫議題和構想（5分）：
第八週請提出撰寫議題和構想約500字以及撰寫進度，同時寫出所讀相關論文或是書籍（至少五個資料來源），為提這些資訊需要同學多到圖書館或上學術網站去找靈感和找相關資料，以了解撰寫資料的可取得性或是撰寫方向的適切性，並且和老師約時間討論。
(2) 訪問機構(相關人士)並且寫出訪問的摘要1000字（10分），以便融入總報告中。這是輔助研究報告成為有evidence-based approach報告的必要，也幫助論文發展過程中理論與實務的結合。
(3) 撰寫最後完整報告6000字(25分): 分成四部份，一為問題分析，二為相關研究之討論,三為本論文的核心與實證資料的詮釋、四為研究結論與相關建議。
