課程概述 |
The Graduate Institute of Public Affairs invites Dr. Justin B. Bullock (https://bush.tamu.edu/faculty/jbullock/) as the main lecturer.
The course will expose students to the closely coupled worlds of decision making and technology in the modern world of public service and public policy. Students will learn how to analyze decisions and consequences from different units of public policy analysis such as the individual, organization, and culture. And students will further learn about the role technology and machines are playing in shaping this modern context.
In this course, we meet twice per week and have 3-hours lecture each time. Monday course will begin at 13:20 and Friday class will start at 9:10. We will meet on 5/18、5/22、5/25、5/29、6/1. |

課程目標 |
The goal of this course is to educate students about decision making, by individuals, by organizations, and by culture. We will start with rational human theory, build towards administrative and organization behavior, and look at what this means for the institutions that maintain society. From here we examine how the tasks that decision-making focuses upon can be completed either by humans or by machines. We will turn to the fields of public administration, law, and machine behavior for these concepts. This approach will seek to establish a broad and interdisciplinary approach to human decision making within public service and the corresponding capacity to utilize machines to augment, automate, and generate new tasks to be completed through a decision-making process. |
