Course Description |
本課程係以醫學院牙醫學系四年級為授課對象，於每週三下午第七、八堂上課，為必修課程。學程半年（一學期）。 |
|
Course Objective |
使用教材係由各個授課老師搜選國內外外科學教科書有關之內容以及該課程相關之書籍、雜誌，編纂成講義。本課程共分24堂課，其主要的目的是傳授牙醫四年級同學，有關外科學領域的必備知識，以便未來在從事牙醫工作時，對一些口腔外科的基本知識及技術能成熟運用；對人體其他部位之外科學也有一些基本概念。
課程開始先講述外科學之基礎原理，包括「休克」、「呼吸衰竭」、「酸鹼平衡和電解值」、「傷口癒合」、「外傷之代謝反應」、「外科感染和預防」以及「外科營養學」。小兒外科一堂課介紹小兒頭頸及胸腔手術。接著三堂整形外科包括面部骨折、燙傷以及顎裂之手術，心臟外科四堂課，包含冠心症、心臟瓣膜手術、先天性心臟病、周圍血管手術）、胸腔外科三堂（術前評估、肺及食道手術），神經外科五堂（頭部外傷、腦血管病變、小兒腦神經疾病之手術、脊椎病變、腫瘤）。課程安排緊湊而忙碌，講解內容多半與牙科或口腔外科有關為主，是瞭解外科的全貌所必備。也是對未來牙醫或口腔外科生涯所必需的知識。
