Course Description |
The purposes of this course are to introduce the development and applications of dental materials and introduce the biological properties, physical properties and chemical properties of dental materials and their tests. Students should understand the characteristics of dental materials and their indications for clinical applications. They also need to know how to choose the dental materials for applications including dental amalgams, composite resins, dentin bonding agents and classfications of dental casting materials, ceramics, impressionmateriasl, dental waxes, gypsums, investing materials, and denture base resins. |
