Course Description:

An advanced course based on "introduction to ion channels".
Main theories of how ion channels work will be briefly reviewed and discussed. Category of different kind of ion channels will be described from structural and functional point of views. Molecular details based on structural and functional information for permeation, selectivity, phosphorylation and corresponding signal transduction will be emphasized in order to be combined with the possible mechanisms and the molecular determinants of ion channel diseases.
