一、Ordinary Differential Equations

3. The Laplace transform
4. Series Solutions
5. Approximation of Solutions

二、Systems of Linear Differential Equations
1. Vectors and Vector Spaces
2. Matrices and Linear Systems
3. Determinants
4. Eigenvalues, Diagonalization, and Speial Matrices
5. Systems of Linear Differential Equations
6. Sturm-Liouville Theory and Special Functions (optional)  

課程目標
This course will address several mathematical methods that can be applied to solve various governing equations in fundamental sciences or engineering applications. We will put special emphasis on both the physical meaning and the mathematical significance of each topic. The students should strengthen their capability of understanding and solving a real problem in the fields of engineering and science.
We will talk about 1st and 2nd ordinary differential equations (ODE), series solution method, Laplace transformation, vector space and calculation, and finish the term with the fundamentals of linear algebra.
