一、課程簡介: The purpose of this course is to convey the fundamental role of mechanics in engineering. We will first study the concepts of kinematics to describe the motions of particles and bodies. The concepts of dynamics will then be introduced and be appllied to particles and rigid bodies. During the course, we will illustrate how mechanical designers use the concepts of mechanics to design mechanisms and machines to meet specific requirements. The students are expected to develop skills in modelling and analysing mechanical systems.
