課程概述 |
In the first 14 weeks, we will review classical thermodynamics with the emphasis on the open system enthalpy/entropy calculations and vapor-liquid equilibria. In the last 4 weeks, we will introduce the computer-aided design of chemical engineering processes using Aspen Plus and COMSOL. |
課程目標 |
1. Understanding the basic principles of thermodynamics, energy balance, and entropy generation.
2. Understanding the phase equilibrium calculations and applications.
3. Modeling real world problems with Aspen Plus and COMSOL.
4. Understanding the connections between thermodynamics, transport phenomena and reaction engineering.
