課程概述

The need for biomaterials is gradually increasing. This is the consequence of the drastic progresses that have been made in both surgical and medical technologies. This course will cover the fundamentals of the structure, processing, and properties of bio-related materials that are utilized in biomedical products, devices and biotechnology. Various methods for characterization and analysis of biomaterials will be discussed. New trends in biomaterials with specific clinical properties in the field of molecular imaging and therapeutic diagnostics will also be covered. 

課程目標
The objective of this course is to educate students in the fields of engineering, science, and medicine on understanding the characteristics of synthetic/biological materials and their interaction with cells in vitro and in vivo.
