I. Course Description:
Electrochemical Engineering is targeted at chemical engineering graduates and senior undergraduates who want to familiarize themselves with the principles and operations of industrial electrochemical processes. The course will cover the fundamentals of electrochemical equilibria, electrode kinetics and other phenomena associated with metal--electrolyte interfaces, and transport phenomena. Special attention will be given to mass transfer in electrochemical systems, and to the relationship between molecular transport, convection, and electrode kinetics. The material covered in this course can be applied to many engineering processes of current industrial interests.

(8) Corrosion and Its Control
(9) Porous Electrodes: Batteries and Fuel Cells
(10) Electrochemical Sensors and Ion-Selective Electrodes
(11) Electroanalytical Techniques
(12) Water Purification and Recycling of Industrial Process Streams
