課程概述

本課程介紹使用電腦軟體工具Aspen Plus (Aspen Plus Dynamics),由較簡單的個別程序單元如:加熱器、反應器、驟沸器、分相槽、吸收塔、及蒸餾塔開始,學習建構各單元的動態模式,然後建構包括迴流之多程序單元的動態模式,直至能夠建構整廠的動態製程。課程中亦會介紹程序設計以及程序控制各重要觀念,以應用在實際化工程序。
This course teaches students to use Aspen Plus and Aspen Plus Dynamics to simulate various chemical processes. All fundamental knowledge to simulate, design and control of chemical process will be reviewed. Each student needs to independently complete three case studies, including a single-unit, a multi-unit, and a plant-wide chemical process. There will be three oral presentations and a final written report for each student. 

課程目標
經此課程學習使得學生能夠利用電腦軟體工具Aspen Plus 及 Aspen Plus Dynamics來模擬各類化工程序,然後能夠進一步設計出最佳化的製程,以及能夠設計出整廠的控制策略。
Establish students' skills so that they can simulate, design, optimize, and develop control structure of various chemical processes. 
課程要求
包括數個口頭報告、期中評量、期末個案探討之口頭報告及書面報告。
Include several homework, a mid-term written/hand-on exam, three oral presentations, and a final written report of the plant-wide process.
