課程概述 |
This course is designed for over junior students and presents the physical and engineering principles that underlie the use of ultrasound and illustrates their successful application in clinics and industry. A sound wave is a form of mechanical energy that propagates in a medium. The first technological application of ultrasound was at 1917 when Paul Langevin tried to detect submarines. Nowadays ultrasound is a fast growing field. In medicine, it is applied for imaging, treatment, surgery. Therapeutic ultrasound is used to treat many diseases in different parts of the body. In industry, it is used for cleaning, chemical processing, non-destructive testing. The course will describe physical principles of ultrasound and its different applications. |

In this course, students are required to understand basic physical, biological, engineering principles of ultrasound, it’s effects involved in different industrial and clinical applications. Be able to analyze, estimate different ultrasound effects. |
