A three-credit introductory microbiology course for environmental engineers comprised of two main sections: (1) classroom lectures, includes: the fundamentals of microbiology and the application of these fundamental microbial principles to environmental systems; and (2) laboratory sessions which students can learn basic microbial techniques. For lab sessions, groups will be assigned by the instructor, and meeting times may be varied depending on the laboratory schedule.
