課程概述

Contents of the course:
(1) Introduction (5 hours).
(2) Physical and mathematical formulation of continuum fluid mechanics (10 hours).
(3) Some exact solutions of the equations of fluid mechanics (5 hours).
(4) The flow physics from small to large Reynolds numbers (2 hours).
(5) Low Reynolds number flows (5 hours).
(6) Potential flows (5 hours).
(7) Laminar boundary layer theory (5 hours).
(8) General discussion on other topics in fluid mechanics (2 hours).  

課程目標
Provide students sufficient knowledge of fluid mechanics for their research work. 
課程要求
The students who take this course for credit should have certain knowledges on general physics, undergraduate fluid mechanics, vector calculus, Cartesian tensor, and differential equations.
