課程概述

Contents of the course:
(1) Introduction (5 hours)
(2) Physical and mathematical formulations of fluid mechanics (12 hours)
(3) Some exact solutions for illustrating various terms of the equations (6 hours)
(4) The flow physics from small to large Reynolds numbers (3 hours)
(5) Low Reynolds number flows (6 hours)
(6) Potential flows (6 hours)
(7) Laminar boundary layer theory (6 hours)
(8) General discussion on other topics in fluid mechanics (2 hours) 

課程目標
The objective of this course is to provide students a solid background on fluid mechanics. 
課程要求
The students who take this course for credit should have certain knowledges on general physics, undergraduate fluid mechanics, vector calculus, Cartesian tensor, and differential equations.
