1. Exponential growth and decay: decay with multiple half-lives, logistic equation, etc.
2. System of many particles: Microstates and macrostates, energy of a system, thermal equilibrium, entropy, Boltzmann factor, Nernst equation, chemical potential, Gibbs free energy, etc.
3. Transport in an infinite medium:Flux, continuity, solvent drag, diffusion, steady-state diffusion to a spherical cell and effects, drift and diffusion in 1-D, etc.
4. Transport through neutral membranes:Membrane, osmotic press, solute transport, artificial kidney, countercurrent transport, volume and solute transport in a pore, etc.
5. Impulses in nerve and muscle cell:Properties of nerves, electric field, charge distribution, leakage current, nerve impulse, electrotonus, Hodgkin-Huxley model for membrane current, propagation of nerve impulse, rhythmic eletrical activity, etc.
