This course focus on the introduction of applied statistics and probability theory for undergraduate and graduate students. Statistical methods are crucial methods because they provide the engineers with both descrptive and analytical methods for dealing with the variability in observed data.

Our course will cover the following topics: concepts of probability, discrete and continuous random variables, probability distributions,expected values, indepedence, the treatment of statistical method with random sampling, data summary and description techniques, sampling distributions, the central limit theorem, poitn estimation of paramters, interval estimation for a single sample, hypothesis tests, tests and confidence interval for two samples, simple and multiple regression.
