Soil is important natural resource, because it is a crucial base for agricultural production and human life. The goals of this course are to introduce basic knowledge of soil science and its application in the fields of agriculture, ecology, and environment for undergraduate students. This course covers issues as following: basic soil characteristics, soil morphology and classification, soil function, nutrient cycle, soil contamination, soil and food safety, and soil and climate change.
