Course Content
This is a two-semester introductory undergraduate business statistics course. In fall semester, the course will cover (1) Introduction; (2) Organizing Data; (3) Numerical Descriptive Techniques; (4) Probability; (5) Discrete Random Variables & Their Probability Distributions; (6) Continuous Random Variables & Their Probability Distributions; (7) Sampling Distribution; (8) Sampling Distribution; (9) Estimation of the Mean and Proportion; and (10) Hypothesis Tests about the Mean and Proportion. The topics that will be taught in spring semester include: (1) Estimation and Hypothesis Testing: Two populations; (2) Chi-Squares Tests; (3)Analysis of Variance, (4) Non-parametric Methods; (5)Simple Regression; (6) Multiple Regression; (7) Index Number; and (8) Time Series Analysis.
