課程概述 |
This course delves into the fundamental principles of microeconomics, specifically focusing on the producer theory. We explore how firms allocate resources and respond to market forces while determining the production plan. For example, what is the cost-benefit analysis of the economic shutdown during the pandemic? How do we analyze social welfare when confronting changes in trade policy? This course may serve as a foundation for advanced economics, business, and public policy studies. |

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. Analyze production processes using production functions
2. Apply cost concepts to derive and interpret short-run and long-run cost curves
3. Evaluate profit-maximizing strategies for firms under various market structures
4. Compare and contrast the behavior of firms in competitive, monopolistic, and oligopolistic markets
5. Assess the efficiency and equity implications of production decisions and market dynamics |
