課程概述 |
This course follows Callister’s textbook “Materials Science and Engineering: An Introduction,” a classical introduction to engineering materials. The goal is to expose students to the broad realm of materials science and various categories of materials including metals, ceramics, composites, and polymers. The fundamentals are presented in a logical order, from simple to complex. After taking this course, students will have a basic understanding of various materials structures, their properties, their processing techniques, and their effects in performance. Such knowledge is crucial to students for future engineering applications in any industries. |
