Cryptogamic organisms (algae, bryophytes, ferns) do not only have cryptic sexuality, but also cryptic interactions with fungi which are less known than those on seed plants. From an interdisciplinary view, it is important to understand the diversity of cryptogams and their fungal symbionts and parasites as well as saprobic decomposers.
