課程概述

Introduction to Mixed Model Equation for estimating variance components and effects of fixed and random effects;
Introduction to Mixed Model Equation with genotypic or allelic effects;
Two different approaches: Pathway and Genome-wide association;
 

課程目標
This course includes theoretical derivation and practical computing analysis to provide a platform for introducing the statistical methods of quantitative genetics with the related applications to the students who have the basic training in animal breeding. 
課程要求
Reading book chapters related to the topics before the classes and working on statistical analyses of quantitative genetics are the main tasks for this course. There will be discussions about the theory and applications during each class.
