課程概述 |
This course aims at creatively exploring, researching, or intervening cultural industries, with special emphasis on rural cultural industries. The culture industry primarily referred to the industrialization and commodification of the process of symbolic production and circulation in toto. Against the backdrop of a flourishing cultural economy, this course is designed to understand culture industries, not just in terms of manipulation and domination through the industrialized commodity, but as far more complex fields in which a subtle configuration of communication, innovation, creativity, and restructured power relationships are emerging. This course traces the key theorisations of the culture industries and then introduces students to contemporary debates in major areas of rural cultural industries, including food, festivals and tourism. In this way, the course will map out the vital two-ways transitions between theory and practice and address the complex dialectic of the ‘culturalization’ of economy and the ‘economization’ of culture. |

1. 成績評定(Course Evaluation):
(1) 課間作業 30% (2)課堂報告40% (3) 期末報告30%
2. 課程作業(Course Requirements):
(1) 摘要與習題(心得):摘要與心得:每週上課需固定繳交約各九百字(+-100)的(1)本週閱讀摘要(在內文中需說明閱讀文獻之核心關注或中心問題)與(2)每週課程習題(心得)。關於摘要與心得寫法,請參閱《臺灣社會研究季刊》等學術期刊書評。
(2) 期末作業:學期末須繳交(1)四篇報告文獻的全文翻譯,與(2)一篇約八千字以涵蓋上述文獻之主題為中心的相關文獻評介或專題報告。文獻評介需將讀物融會貫通後,以自己的詮釋來再現和評論,切勿是條列式或零碎化,或僅節錄讀物內容;必須是有條理的鋪陳和論述。關於文獻回顧評介,請參閱《臺灣社會研究季刊》等學術期刊長篇評論或研究紀要。
