本課程旨在介紹現代社會中環境污染與植物之種種密切關係，並先介紹環境污染之種種來源、污染種類、擴散與流佈、沉降等，再介紹對植物特別有害之環境污染物，包括空氣、水及土壤污染。同時也探討介紹污染如何危害植物，植物反應、病徵表現，生態及氣候變遷等，另特別介紹污染公害之鑑定，如何利用植物做為污染之指標生物，及如何利用植物吸收淨化環境污染等。
Environmental Pollution and Plant Growth (2,0)
This course is dealing with all aspects between environmental pollution and plants. The air, water and soil pollutions are major concerns. The effects of these pollutants, the injury mechanisms, the plant responses, and the global change issues are all included. The technology for identification of adverse effects is especially introduced. Utilization of plant as bioindicators and as air cleaners are emphasized.
