一、課程簡介:
To introduce the nature of plant viruses at the molecular level including biological and biochemical properties, modes of replication and gene expression, and interaction with host plants and vectors. The major group of plant viruses will be reviewed and the recent research progress will be discussed in class.

4. Monopartite RNA viruses (1) : TMV, movement protein and host range determinants
5. Monopartite RNA viruses (2) : TEV and polyprotein processing
6. Monopartite RNA viruses (3) : PVX and TBSV as plant viral vectors
7. Bipartite RNA viruses (1) : CPMV and gene expression
8. Bipartite RNA viruses (2) : TRSV and its satellite RNAs
9. Tripartite RNA viruses (1) : CMV and the viral replicase
10. Tripartite RNA viruses (2) : host range determinants of BMV and CCMV
11. Plant Rhabdoviruses and gene expression
12. Plant Tospoviruses and vectors
13. Plant Reoviruses: genome organization of RDV
