課程概述

This course will discuss the following topics.
1. The nature of commercial banks. (i) Banking theory. (ii) Comparing commercial banks with venture capital and finance companies.
2. Risk management. (i) Interest rate risk. (ii) Market risk. (iii) Credit risk.
3. Bank regulation. (i) Deposit insurance. (ii) Capital regulation.
4. Financial crises.
