課程概述 |
This course develops an understanding of the link between organizational mission and governance structures and accounting’s role in coordinating, controlling and managing organizations. By the end of the course students are expected to gain an understanding of how accounting is influenced by and influences organizational mission, strategy, structure, and the resulting performance measurement and control systems. To help student develop this understanding, this course adopts Project Discovery (PD), a pedagogy developed by University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC).

The three goals of this course include:
1. The fundamentals of managerial accounting information systems;
2. The application of accounting information for planning and control decisions;
3. The emerging roles of managerial accounting. |

課程要求 |
The course will be conducted by mixing instructor’s lecture, discussion, and project presentation. Students are strongly encouraged to participate in the class discussion. Supplemental materials will be distributed whenever needed during our class meetings. |
