Organizational Behavior (OB) is an interdisciplinary subject. As a field of study, OB provides a systematic knowledge about the impact that individuals, groups, and structure have on human behavior within an organization. As such, OB integrates three levels of analysis: the individual, the group, and the organization system. Topics covered in this course include the following: introduction, job attitudes, personality traits and work values, individual perception and decision making, motivation concepts and applications, emotions and moods, foundations of group behavior, work teams, communication, leadership, organizational culture, and organizational change. It is hoped that students will have a fair grasp of basic ideas in OB, and contemplate upon their possible applications at work. |
