課程概述 |
As a required course for IB-group EMBA students, this course is to provide a strategy framework for effectively managing organization(s) to create and realize values in a changing global environment. Given previous learning from adjacent required courses, such as STM and GBM, the present course (SMMNC) is positioned as an integrated learning platform to help students enhance strategic thinking and formulation capabilities as well as energize strategic leadership to capture growing opportunities in the regional and global arenas.
To achieve the stated learning goal, this course designs four modules that are central to the general management of a multinational corporation; they are: (1) Globalization and Competitive Advantages, (2) Regional Strategy, (3) Emerging Giants, and (4) Corporate Renewal and Sustainable Growth. Each module contains distinctive issues of strategy and organization challenges faced by those companies with global growth intent. Collectively, these modules hope to capture central challenges of Taiwanese companies as regional giants and global contenders.
Pedagogically, this course fully relies upon discussions through cases and readings. Therefore, your active participation and meaningful contribution to sustaining a good conversation throughout the whole semester would be a must. To ensure a positive learning experience, we expect your conscientious efforts in both self-reading and group works.
