課程概述 |
待補二十一世紀慢性病預防及處置已成為重要的包括癌症及心血管疾病的控制,需著重在生活型態相關危險因子的阻介,如何透過初級預防與次級癌檢等流行病學的工具及方法來了解慢性病面向,進一步對慢性病的預防診斷及預後有一方法學上的認識,特此開設此一課程。
課程設計:
1.強調團隊合作, 分組報告及討論
2.文獻研讀及批判, 資料實作, 問題解決
3.案例研究及實際資料處理
The burdens of the non-communicable disease (NCD) among 21st century have a great challenge, and the prevention and management of NCS, such as cancers and cardiovascular diseases, have become an important task, and the intervention of the lifestyle-related risk factors are crucial for the success. How to apply the epidemiological methods to evaluate the programs of primary prevention and secondary prevention, such as health promotion and screening, and to understand the diagnostic tools and prognosis evaluation, we proposed this course.
We designed the class as the following:
1. We emphasize the team work as group, oral presentation and written report, and discussion together,
2. We propose to conduct literature review and critical critique, data management, statistical analyses, and problem solving,
3. We provide case study, real data practice: Translational Research into Community, using the homework and capstone learning

課程目標 |
提供給對流行病學/生物統計/預防醫學課程有興趣的大學部同學選修。以流行病學重要議題和分析方法作深入淺出的介紹,配合電腦軟體操作和資料分析,訓練同學分析處理流行病學實際問題的能力。
此課程的目標:
1.由全球衛生的觀點了解慢性病的現治及重要性 (PHB CC10)
2.慢性流行病學相關研究設計,包括病例對照研究, 世代研究, 橫斷面研究,臨床試驗 (PHB CC10, FD25-26)
3.慢性流行病學篩檢及診斷工具、評估 (PHB FD25-26)
4.基因及環境因子對慢性病的影響及可能的交互作用 (PHB FD53-54)
The course is designed for undergraduate students who are interested in epidemiology/biostatistics/preventive medicine fields, and we provide the introduction of the important issues and analytic methods for the NCD epidemiology, including the computer software work and data analysis, to train the students in data analysis and problem solving,
At the end of the course the students are expected to
1. Understand the current status and burdens of NCD from the global health viewpoint (PHB CC10),
2. Understand the study designs of NCD, including case-control study, cohort study, cross-sectional study and randomized clinical trial (PHB CC10, FD25-26).
3. Apply the tools for screening and diagnosis of the NCD (PHB FD25-26),
4. Understand the roles of genetics and environmental factors for the NCD, and the potential interactions for the risk of NCD (PHB FD53-54)
