課程概述

This graduate level introduction to health promotion follows a three-part structure, containing conceptual/theoretical and practice underpinnings that are fundamental to this field. Part one lays the foundations for the history of and basic notions underlying health promotion. Part two covers the key strategies for health promotion, as addressed in Ottawa Charter. Based on these strategies, Part three presents current endeavors that promote health in various settings.  

課程目標
 After completing this course, students can:
1.Understand the main ideas, concepts, and strategies related to health promotion.
2.Analyze health promotion practices and interventions in the real world, and assess their state-of-the-art by applying the concepts and skills learned in the class.
3.Address and outline the roles structural/social determinants play in the process of pursuing health promotion.
