課程概述

The major goal of this course is to learn the concepts, new methods and findings of a wide-range of topics in genomic studies through reading and discussion of original articles. Selected articles of each topic have a major theme and involved various issues commonly encountered in genomic studies. Course will begin with an introductory lecture to point out important issues. Students are expected to read assigned articles in advance and discuss the designated questions during class.

1. To learn the concepts, new methods and findings of a wide-range of topics in genomic studies.
2. To learn how to read critically original articles in genomic studies.
 
課程要求
[需先修習過遺傳流行病學原理(課號849M0330),或其他授課教師認可之先修遺傳學相關課程]

Class participation: including presentation (taking turns in different sessions) and discussion.
Assignments: oral or written discussion about the designated questions listed in each session.
Written final report: choose a topic and describe concisely the design, main findings, unsolved problems, and future directions of studies in the field.
