課程概述 |
Work environment measurement is one of the fundamental techniques for the industrial hazard recognition, evaluation and control in workplace. The goal of this course is set to familiarize the students with the principles, methods and result interpretation of work environment measurement. The first semester course focuses on sampling and measurement of airborne chemical hazards, such as organic solvents, gases/vapors, aerosols and trace metals, and airborne biological hazards, while the second semester emphasizes on the sampling and measurement of physical hazards at workplace, such as noise, vibration, temperature, humidity, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation, etc. In addition, field trip and practicum are also arranged to familiarize the students with the operation of work environment measure in field. |

課程要求 |
Once finishing this course, the students should be familiar with the principles, sampling methods and reference sources for work environment measurement, and be capable to plan sampling strategy and conduct sampling in work environment. |
