課程概述 |
This course aims to introduce global health students to the basic concepts, methods and skills, and ethical reflection in qualitative research. In addition to readings, students will engage in dialogue with locals to understand the dynamics of global health research in Taiwan to better enact Global Health Research. Students are required to select a health issue and conduct a small-scale qualitative research project. As such, students learn to conduct their own project, including research design, data collection and analysis, reflection, and writing a report. |
課程目標 |
At the end of the course, student will be able to:
1.Design a research protocol including interviews, focus group, or other instruments to be used for collecting the qualitative data for a small-scale research project.
2.Produce a proposal and report of qualitative research with data collected on in the field.
3.Employ qualitative research methods in a Global/Public Health Setting.
4.Critically analyze the ethical issues of Global Health qualitative research and adapt their own research accordingly.
